PCB Design Internship Opportunity
We are offering an exciting opportunity for students and fresh graduates who are passionate about PCB Design, Electronics, and Hardware Engineering. This internship provides hands-on experience with real-world PCB design workflows, schematic creation, component selection, and testing—making it the perfect starting point for anyone planning to build a career in electronic hardware design.
As a PCB Design Intern, you will work alongside experienced engineers and gain exposure to modern PCB tools, design standards, and manufacturing processes. This role will help you strengthen your practical skills, improve your understanding of electronics, and become industry-ready.
About the Role
In this internship, you will assist in designing PCB schematics, creating footprints, performing layout tasks, testing prototype boards, and supporting the hardware engineering team with various design and documentation activities.
Responsibilities
- Assist in creating schematics, PCB layouts, footprints, and symbols.
- Work with PCB design tools such as Altium Designer, Eagle, or KiCad.
- Support engineers in component selection and creation of Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Help in performing Design Rule Checks (DRC) and basic signal/power integrity checks.
- Participate in prototype assembly, testing, and debugging.
- Document design processes, test results, and engineering findings.
- Coordinate with hardware and firmware teams during prototype development.
- Stay updated with basic PCB standards, rules, and best practices.
Qualifications
- Pursuing or recently completed a Diploma, B.E/B.Tech, or M.Tech in ECE, EEE, or related fields.
- Basic understanding of electronic components, circuits, and hardware design fundamentals.
- Familiarity with PCB design tools (Altium, KiCad, Eagle, etc.) is preferred but not mandatory.
- Basic knowledge of schematics, netlists, routing, and PCB stack-up concepts.
- Understanding of communication interfaces like I2C, SPI, UART is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Eagerness to learn and explore new PCB technologies and tools.
